i hate talking about myself. instead, here's some of my favorite quotes and comments gleaned from reviews and other such filth... "How are you making these sounds?"-a csound user csound. a microphone. a calculator, note pad and pencils. strong coffee. patience (it's a slow process). absolutely no guitars (which makes some of these reviews really funny). that's all there is to the production... writing the music is the hard part. "A resemblance to some old Swans material definitely jumps out at me: the hard, pounding mix of deep vocals, drums and bass slowly grinding out raw, cathartic noise. it's a bastardization of conventional rock ingerdients, with electronics and samples seamlessly melded into the background." - Grinding Into Emptiness zine "Very strange, yet oddly compelling" - www.garageband.com i really liked that website - it was an extremely good idea. i'd like to see someone continue it. "erotic and fiery" -Deaththreats zine "Fucking pretentious." and thank you very much, Miss Pohl... "Utter doom is the only way to describe this incredibly original sounding Lebanese outfit." which is odd - since i live in Lebanon, Indiana USA... "Not since old Skin Chamber has there been a band so extreme, raw and uncompromising... Just when you thought music could not be dangerous again... it is!" -Corridor of Cells zine and two of my favourites: "Keith Thirteen paints very bleak pictures of industrial desolaton through heavy guitars, heavy bass, heavy drums and despairing vocals that sound like they're coming from the end of a very long tunnel. I don't know what country the vocalist is from, but I'll take a guess that he's from hell." - Blatant Propaganda zine "I suspect the bass waves, performed live and at sufficient volume, could seriously cause you to shit your pants." -Dead Angel zine have fun on my site love, keith |
